I fell in love…

… with the blood-red sun, the thunderous seas, the azure sky, the majestic mountains, the windy beaches and the wonderful people Africas.

15 years ago, when I established a distribution network for industrial chemicals in Southern Africa on behalf of a German chemical company, my plans were to stay just for a short time.

That was until I experienced my first big safari, when I was sleeping under this amazing starry blanket Africa’s wide open spaces. I couldn’t stop thinking abouth the lion’s roars, the birds‘ songs and the magic of the bushfeld. It touched my heart, Africa got under my skin.

I was travelling the whole world while being the manager of one of the world’s biggest chemical companies, but only here in South Africa it felt like home. Here I wanted to live and work with the wonderful people Africa’s. My dream was to show people the beauty of South Africa, Namibia, Mocambique and Botswana and enlighten others why I fell in love with this gorgeous continent.

I made my dreams come true and with all my savings I have bought a historical  house in the charismatic neighbourhood of “De Waterkant”, in Cape Town. My sister Jutta is an architect and together we have converted this old house into a lovely designer lodge - “Cedric’s Lodge”, named after my son.

Over the years we have diversified and as your German and English speaking travel experts we organize, coordinate and plan the holiday of your dreams. During the winter months (June, July, August) we will take you on exciting Game Drives and Bushwalks in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further details.

... "Jutta, I have bought an old residence in the most beautiful suburb of Cape Town, „De Waterkant“ – do you think you could renovate it?“

Of course! I agreed as doing a project like this in  Cape Town, my favourite city,  was very exciting.

At this stage I was managing the development department of a big, successful company in Hamburg. Before that I was working in an achitectual office in Frankfurt for 8 years.

So my leisure time was occupied with designing “Cedric’s Lodge” and when I came to Cape Town for its grand opening, I was elated that I could stay, work, live and share my first love architecture with South Africa and its lovely people.

I moved to the „Mother City“ and together with my sister we established our second Lodge, „Cedric’s Lemonlodge“, which I also redesigned.  Soon Cedirc’s Lodges was complimented by a third lodge “Cedric’s Clown House”.

Back in the day we were travelling the whole world and today we are welcoming people from all different walks of life.

We love to go on journeys and adventures with our guests and kindle new friendships. We are proud and excited to show everyone the beautiful and incredible flora and fauna of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Mocambique.

Since moving to South Africa we have never regretted the decision. The future is a brighter place.
