Cape Town
Welcome to Cape Town the most beautiful town on earth
You will be picked up from the International Airport and after a short drive and the first impressions of the magical Table Mountain and the harbor you reach the most popular area of Cape Town, "De Waterkant". Your hotel is located right in the heart of the city and will be your home for the following 3 days. There are great restaurants, galleries and cafés just a short walk away. Also a multitude of sights are easy to reach from here.
Right after your arrival we welcome you with a glass of Cape Bubbly and give you information about our journey. Maybe you are already in the mood for some shopping at the harbor, take a ride on the famous Ferris wheel with a fantastic view onto Table Mountain, go on board of a catamaran to get a good breeze of Cape Town’s sea and maybe see one of the fantastic sunsets you only get at the Cape? You have arrived in the most wonderful city in the world!
The next day we spontaneously plan for you depending on the weather. If the mountain wind blows (it is also called “Cape of Storms”) the cable car won’t drive so we have to be a little flexible. In any case, our red „Hop on – Hop off” bus is on the list. This bus stops on 14 of the most worth seing places in Cape Town and you can hop on and off as you like, to get to know the beauty of our city. It’s a very relaxing way to start your exploration of the rainbow nation and you quickly get to know where you are and your ways around. The cable car then takes you up into the sky – That’s at least how it will feel like as soon as you are up there, on Table Mountain.
Enjoy the view all the way to the Cape of Good Hope. You drive through the little streets of downtown and learn a lot about the history of the city. All along the cost you get to Camps Bay (the St. Tropez of Africa) where you can hop off to go for a walk on the amazing white sand beach and put your feet into the cold water of the Atlantic Ocean.
We will definitely take you on a breathtaking trip down to the Cape of Good Hope. We drive through the lively fisherman town, Hout Bay, to the unique penguin colony of Simonstown and finally reach the National Park, where the Indian and the Atlantic Ocean shake hands. Enjoy the view over the two oceans and maybe catch a first look at the ostriches; but do not open the doors when the Baboons come – as sweet as they look, bagging for bananas. The Cape is stormy, wild but beautiful and if you have a good look, you might get to see some dolphins passing by.
No worries – there is still time to relax a bit in the afternoon and have dinner in one of the typical African restaurants. Dinner in one of the fish restaurants by the beach or sushi in the best restaurant (secret tip)!? Or maybe you prefer the world's best steak? Did you know that we have recently been voted Gourmet City No 1 of the world? You will be surprised by all the delicacies!
Hermanus
Whales, whales, whales!
Along the Cape’s most beautiful coastal road our adventure leads us to Hermanus. Hermanus is not only famous for its whales, which come here between July and November to give birth to their babies, but also for its award winning wines which can be enjoyed in one of the wonderful fish restaurants at the harbor (we also have fabulous beef) with a stunning view over the bay. Various boats will bring you close to the Giants but during the right time of the year you can see the whales even from the coast.
We arrived in paradise!
Mossel Bay
Haia Safari!
This is Africa! This Private Game Reserve is the most romantic and authentic Camp in the Cape! Twice a day the most knowledgeable game rangers will take us on a 4x4 vehicle to discover the beauty of the wild. We will meet them all: lions, elephants, buffalos, impalas and giraffes. Not only will we meet some of the Big Five, we will also enjoy lots of adventures and surprises. You will feel like in the movie “Out of Africa”, when we sit around the camp fire at night and tell stories and listen to the sounds of the bush.
By now you wish that you would never have to leave Africa again.
Oudtshoorn
The Ostrich kingdom
Today we will drive over magical mountains and stunning landscapes to a typical Karoo village, Oudtshoorn, which is famous for its ostrich farms. If you don’t weigh more than 60 kg you may even ride one of these huge birds, or you rather prefer eating one of the delicious steaks? Another must see are the Cango Caves, the most impressive stalactite caves and the second largest in the world. Maybe we are lucky and an angel will sing a little aria for us…
Look forward to our accommodation under endless starry sky, off the beaten tracks, and a mouthwatering “Braai”!
Swellendam
Take a trip back in time
On our way towards the most famous wine growing area around Stellenbosch we spend the night once more along the Garden Route in one off the oldest towns in South Africa, Swellendam. Surrounded by fertile, rolling hills and the majestic Langenberg mountain range the Breede river finds its way through the valley. Every street in Swellendam presents itself with the charme of times gone by, the historical buildings delight with capedutch architecture. Enjoy a walk through the old town, sip a Cappuccino in one of the lovely cafes and feel like time stands still.
Wine Lands - Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl
The most beautiful wine route in the world
The longest and most wonderful wine route is waiting for you and is certainly one of the highlights of your journey. While having typical winery picnics and wine tastings you will quickly feel at home between all these great reds and whites they offer. We will dine exquisitely and we will enjoy some of the best wines along the most beautiful wine route. We will definitely show you our favourite vineyards with breathtaking views, surrounded by magical mountain ranges and valleys of Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl, Africa’s most famous wine triangle.
